Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Ismail Watenga has joined South Africa Premier Division Lamontville Golden Arrows FC on a season-long loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.
“We welcome Ugandan International, Isima Watenga to our goal keeping department,” the club announced on Thursday.
The Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper spent the whole of last season on loan at another premiership side Marumo Gallants.
Marumo Gallants is now a second division club as they did not survive relegation after finishing bottom of the table with only 29 points from 30 games.
Arrows is an upgrade for Watenga, they perfomed so much better that Marumo last season. Arrows finished ninenth on a 16-team table after accumulating 38 points from 30 games.
Before that, Watenga had agreed another short term loan to Chippa United from Mamelodi.
