Uganda U18 0-1 Tanzania U-18
Tanzania beat Uganda 1-0 to win this year’s CECAFA U18 Women Championship in the last game held Azam Complex on Friday.
Winifrida Gerald’s goal in the 42nd minute was enough as Tanzania silenced Uganda.
It was a disappointing day for Uganda, who led the standings heading into the last game and had not conceded any goal.

And against Tanzania, who were second, Uganda needed just to avoid defeat to be named champions in a tournament that was played in a round robin format.
But they failed to live to the expectation for a side that put seven past Burundi in their previous game.

They conceded at the stroke of half time, with Winifrida breaking the deadlock for Tanzania, a goal that later turned winner.
But after conceding, Uganda failed to find a breakthrough against a solid Tanzanian side.
Even after the introduction of Shamusa Najjuma, there was nothing that could save Uganda, on a day they will want to forget easily.
Tanzania are now the first winners of this championship that has been played in a round robin format with five teams taking part.
