Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC has completed the signing of youngster Joel Sserunjogi.
Sserunjogi joins the Kasasiro Boys on a three years deal and his unveiling was made official on Thursday evening.
The club also confirmed that Sserunjogi’s new contract has an option of extension for an additional year after the completion of his three years.
“Youngster Joel Sserunjogi has completed his move to KCCA Football Club,” reads a statement from the club.
The youngster, aged 21, is a defensive midfielder who can also operate as a central midfielder and he brings in that competition in KCCA’S midfield.
Recently, he has been playing for Buddu in the ongoing Masaza Cup competition. But before moving to Buddu recently, he was at Busiro, a side that won the Masaza cup earlier this year.
He is a promising talent given his attributes on the ball and he has proved that while in the Masaza cup competition.
Previously, Sserunjogi also played for Kajjansi United , a side that features in the regional League.
At KCCA, Sserunjogi becomes the seventh signing after that arrival of , Adilson Bruno, Brazilians Joao Gabriel, Vinicius Michael, and Angolans Emilson Gonzaga, Cungulo Da Silva and Etienne Katenga.
The club also promoted some youngsters to the senior team including Alex Yiga, Abubakar Mayanja and Anthony Emojong among others.
They have also let go of a couple of senior players including one of their top performers last season in defender Geoffrey Wasswa.
