SC Villa Release Two More Players

Uganda Premier League giants SC Villa has released two more players as they reshuffle their squad ahead of the new season.

The Record League champions have let go of Striker Seif Batte and midfielder Frank Muna Kalule.

Batte leaves the Jogoos just after a season having joined the club last year from Gaddafi.

His stint failed to bore fruits after the forward produced just three goals in a campaign Villa finished third.

Batte was a big prospect at an early age with Kazo Academy, Kazo FC, KKL and Stegotta in the Kampala Regional League.

But has since failed to blossom – His total goals at his last five clubs in the league – Villa, UPDF, Gaddafi, Kyetume and Maroons – don’t tally to 10, per UPL stats!

He also featured for Bright Stars and Mbarara City and played for Uganda Cranes at the 2018 CHAN tournament in Morocco.

Pint-sized Frank Muna Kalule on the other hand, had good moments last season, but those were far and apart.

Part of his season highlight include a late winner for Villa against Busoga United to help the side win a fourth straight league game.

The attacker has previously featured for Kansai Plascon and Mbarara City.

Villa earlier released Martin Elungat, Pistis Barenge, Fred Agandu and Hassan Musana.

Charles Bbaale and Fred Gift are some of the players who have left the Jogoos while Denis Ojara, Charles Batibwe and Diego Ssemugera are the latest additions.
