Onduparaka FC have confirmed Uganda Cranes ex international Caesar Okhuti as their new head coach.
The former Onduparaka striker returns to the club as a coach, having impressed in a similar role at Arua Hill alongside Livingstone Mbabazi.
Through a Facebook post, the club announced;
“BACK FOR BETTER!”
“Time to add to the Memories and Legacy…”
“Our former Striker, Samson Ceaser Okhuti returns back home in the capacity of Head Coach to steer the wheel in our quest for a return to UPL.”
Okhuti played for the club in 2015, returned for a second spell between 2017 to 2019.
He is a former player for Express, KCCA, Bunamwaya, Ediofe Hills, El Nassir and Vissail Nih.
The Caterpillars were relegated to the second division after finishing last on the 15-team table, accumulating only 22 points from 28 games.
Okhuti, who has been head coach at fourth division side Leo FC in Arua is also doing well with the West Nile Province team.
His announcement comes just a few hours after he masterminded a resounding victory for the West Nile Province team against Bugisu, coming up from one goal down to win 2-1 with 10 men.
Okhuti previously worked as assistant to Dudu Bosco on the Province team, eventually going on to replace him as head coach, after gaining enough experience.
