Kataka striker Derrick Onyai has agreed terms to join another Big League side Police FC.
The deal is as good as done, as both sides have reached an understanding that will see the forward put pen to paper on a one year contract.
All arrangements have been made, and the contract will be signed as soon as the player gets to Kampala. He has been in Arua where he traveled to play for his Bugisu Province against Westnile in the FUFA Drum tournament.
The former Mbarara City and KCCA Junior Team striker plays in the midfield as well. He can be employed behind the striker and on either wings.
The Cops want Uganda Premier League (UPL) football next season, and they want to count on such Onyai’s versatility.
Some reports had linked the striker to a number of UPL clubs including URA and new entrants NEC, but it was Bright Stars that came the closest to signing him, but Police’s terms were more favorable, so he opted to join The Cops.
At Police, Onyai will link up with former team mates, goalkeeper Edward Kasibante and defender Robert Otim.
