Uganda Premier League side Arua Hill have announced the signing of versatile player Nelson Mandela.
“Former Busoga United and Maroons FC gigantic Centre Back Nelson Mandela has landed,” confirmed Arua Hill via their official sites.
Mandela who can play as a defender and in the midfield has put pen to paper on a one year employment contract that will see him at the club untill the end of the 2023/2024 season.
He becomes the Kongolo’s second signing after Right Back John Rogers Okumu.
He is set to make his competitive debut in the FUFA Super eight tournament away to URA FC at Mehta Stadium Lugazi on Tuesday 8th August.
Mandela is likely to replace Vuni Bright Joseph who left the Arua based side for UPDF FC.
Richard Matovu and Rogers Omedwa confirmed their departure from Arua Hill and joined Vipers and URA FC respectively.
Allan Mugalu was unveiled by new entrants NEC FC, Innocent Media joined Italian Serie C side Lucero Calcio while Rashid Toha, Ivan Eyamu and Innocent Maduka have all left the club after the expiry of their contracts.
