There were suggestions of a possible loan, but the player convinced the club for a termination.

Lwanga leaves KCCA, a club he joined in June 2020, then signing four years at Lugogo.

He joined as a free agent after dramatic incidents – A decision by the FUFA player status committee released him from SC Villa over non-payments.

Lwanga who started out at Kirinya Soccer Academy, was a big prospect when he blossomed onto the scene via the FUFA Juniors League and Schools Competitions.

He won the 2019 Copa Schools tourney with St Mary’s SS Kitende, scoring 8 goals during the competition.

But his spell at Lugogo has failed to bore fruits as earlier anticipated, and he has since spent more time off the pitch.

The club is said to have released the duo of Emmanuel Wasswa and Muhammad Kagawa, also former SC Villa players.

If this comes to pass, KCCA’s tally of released players in this window will move to 12 after earlier confirming departures of Brian Aheebwa, Brian Kayanja, Brian Majwega, Allan Okello, Mustafa Kizza, Benjamin Ochan, Geoffrey Wasswa, Ali Mwirusi and Denis Iguma.

The Club has confirmed four new signings so far including two Brazilians Vinicius Silva and Joao Gabriel.

The other two are Angolans Carlos Da Silva Cungulo and Aires Emilson Gonzaga.
