Newly promoted Uganda Premier League (UPL) side NEC FC have officially announced industrious midfielder Allan Mugalu as their latest signing.
The exciting midfielder joins the Bugolobi-based side on a two year contract that will see him stay at the club until 2025.
At NEC, Mugalu will get to work with his former coach, Hussein Mbalangu, with whom they won the 2020/21 FUFA Big League title unbeaten at Arua Hill.
Mbalangu influenced the move the most, as he really wished to work with a player whose qualities he’s very well aware of since their Arua Hill days.
Not only the new coach was happy to recieve the attacking midfielder, the club was excited too;
“In a thrilling transfer move, NEC FC has secured the services of 23-year-old creative midfield sensation, Allan Mugalu, from StarTimes Premier League side Arua Hills FC,” the club announced.
“This exciting acquisition comes after Mugalu’s successful three-year stint with Arua Hills, during which he showcased his exceptional talents in 39 StarTimes Uganda Premier League games.”
Under Livingstone Mbabazi Arua Hill, Mugalu proved to be a main stay in team’s starting XI, given his outstanding performances.
Such consistency in the top division is what attracted NEC to lure the midfielder to the Coffee Grounds in Bugoloobi.
