Kataka Duo Join Police

Edward Kasibante

Two Kataka FC players have left the club to join Police FC, the Mbale-based club has confirmed.

Goalkeeper Edward Kasibante and defender Robert Edmond ‘Sizzo’ Otim will not play for Lufumbi next season.

The Cops have not yet announced the signing of the two players, but their former club confirmed that they would be leaving, and even mentioned their next club.

“Official and Confirmed. Our goalkeeper Edward Kasibante and defender Robert Otim join Police Football Club,” Kataka announced.

“It’s hard to say goodbye to colleagues who have been such essential players of our team, We wish you the best.”

Otim, formerly of CRO FC has played just one season with Kataka, after joining them last term from Admin FC.

For Kasibante, he has made a very big name for himself at Kataka over the past six years, since joining the club in 2017 from Victoria University SC. He also previously featured for national U17 and U23 teams.

After six good years of service, Kasibante bid farewell to the club in June through a Facebook post.

Meanwhile, as we await Police’s official communication, both Kasibante and Otim are training with the Bugisu Province team as they prepare to take on Westnile Province in the FUFA Drum tournament on Sunday.
