Newly promoted FUFA Big League (FBL) side Mbale Heroes are persuading Arua Hill defender Paulo Musamali to join the most successful football club in Mbale.
The former KCCA defender, who has also previously played for Zambia’s Buildcon, Gaddafi and MYDA is open to a move away from Arua, only if his terms can be considered and fulfilled by the Surgeons.
Mbale is home for the Bugisu Province captain, and he would surely fancy a move back home, but The Surgeons will have to spend big on the experienced centreback to lure him from top flight football for the second division competition.
The two-times Uganda Cup winners, after qualifying to the FBL in quite unique fashion, made their intentions clear – they want to make it to the next level, that is the Uganda Premier League (UPL) within the next one season.
The Surgeons would therefore need to assemble a strong team that will be able to compete next season, but they have been so silent in the ongoing transfer market.

However, according to Michael Woniala, the club’s Communications Director, the club is doing serious bussiness behind the curtains.
“We have re-signed and recruited players,” the club PRO affirmed, though no official communication has been made regarding any new departures or arrivals.
“As we approach the deadline of registration. We want to categorically state that there shouldn’t be any cause of worry. The process of re-signing and recruitment of players is moving smoothly.”
Impeccable sources at the club have revealed that the team has preseason arrangements scheduled for early next month, as part the team’s preparations to attain the season’s mission – promotion to the UPL.
