BUL FC Contracts Four Youngsters

Uganda Premier League (UPL) side BUL FC has confirmed promotion of four Junior Team players to the senior ranks at the club.

Richard Okello, Innocent Rwothomio, Julius Baraza and Swabiru Mpasa have signed their first senior contracts with the club.

Each one of the four players played played a number of games for the first team last season, but they have now officially been handed uniform three year contracts that will see them committed to the Eastern Giants until 2026.

The club further stated that it was quite an easy decision to formally elevate the quartet into the senior team from the junior side, as they were tried and tested in both ranks, and they impressively delivered accordingly.

Okello scored thirteen goals in eighteen matches as the junior team qualified for the national juniors’ league championship. He also featured for the senior team six times.

Rwothomio scored twelve goals in thirteen games for the junior side, while he also played five first team games.

Mpasa, who plays as midfielder, earned himself one match with the senior team, as he had alos scored five goals in seventeen games for the under-age group side.

Defender Baraza made three appearances at the first team, and seventeen with the U-17 category.

The youngsters join BUL’s long list of new additions including Edrine Opala, Joel Mutakubwa, Mathew Odongo Tayo, Alex Kitata, Nicholas Mweere, Lawrence Tezikya, Joel Madondo, Gerald Ogweti.

The side coached by former Busoga United gaffer Abbey Kikomeko also renewed Hillary Onek’s contract, as they also parted ways with five players namely; Edrine Mawerere, Herbert Onyango, Paul Sekulima, Owen Mukisa and Aggrey Madoi.
