Mawokota dropped points for the second time in the ongoing Masaza Cup competition following their goalless draw against Ssese on Sunday.

The game, held at Buwama saw both sides fail to find a breakthrough throughout the entire game.

It was another frustrating day for Mawokota, who earlier on drew goalless against Kabula last weekend on Saturday.

The draw leaves them top of the Muganzirwaza group with eight points, but are now just a point above second place Gomba, who took care of Kabula on Sunday.

On Sunday, at home, Richard Malinga’s men once again failed to find the back of the net for the second time in a row following their impressive start.

And the game against Ssese revealed more work to be done for Mawokota, if they are to get out of the group stages.

Elsewhere, Buddu suffered a 1-0 defeat to Kyadondo in a game held at Masaka recreation grounds on Sunday.

Derrick Walugembe scored the all important goal as Kyadondo silenced Buddu faithful in Masaka.

It was the second successive win for Kyadondo, who earlier on beat Kooki last weekend for their first — They now moved to Six points and are currently fourth in the Masengere group.

For Buddu, it was yet another poor day for them, as they suffered their second defeat this edition.

And that also revealed more work to be done by head coach Simon Peter Mugerwa, who is now at the helm of Buddu.

Buddu remained on six points and are third in the Masengere group.
