Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC has now had a week of intense training sessions under their new head coach Sergio Traguil.
And a number of players have gone on to impress the new boss, per close sources at the Club.
The-SportsNation had eyes and ears on ground at the Omondi stadium.
First of the players comes from the goalkeeping department and when many thought it’s time for Derrick Ochan to come in between the posts, Traguil might be thinking the other way.
This website understands that the new boss at Lugogo rates KCCA FC soccer Academy graduate Anthony Emojong highly ahead of Ochan.
And this was further evident in the first pre-season game against Wandegeya select where the young goalkeeper was given a starting berth ahead of Ochan.
Second on the list is Saidi Mayanja. The best KCCA FC player of the second round of the previous Uganda premier League season has had all the sweat left on the training ground and Traguil is really impressed with the high pressing midfielder.
Arafat Usama is the other player who has impressed the gaffer.
The 2019 Masaza Cup MVP hasn’t had a stellar start during his two years at Lugogo but he looks upbeat to see his talent finally recognised at Lugogo.
Usama was the other played named in the first team to play a friendly game under Coach Traguil and he might become a permanent stay.
USAma, a young brother to Uganda cranes goalkeeper Isma Watenga, has caught a number of suitors because of his undebatable talent, with Mamelodi Sundowns’ Coach Rulani among many who are always inquiring about Usama’s progress.
Brazilian forward João Gabriel is the other workholic guy putting it all on the training grounds and is expected to be a regular starter for Traguil in the future. The Brazilian forward is expected to cause havoc to the defenders and creates room for others to shine.
Herbert Achai is like a fresh signing at Lugogo and the new KCCA FC boss is really counting on the left back who can play further u the pitch.
Achai missed out on the previous season after a long knee injury lay off.
KCCA FC will be representing Uganda at the forthcoming CAF confederation Cup.
