Kitara FC have confirmed last season’s FUFA Big League (FBL) top scorer Denis Omedi as their latest acquisition in the ongoing transfer window.
Some reports had indicated otherwise, but the club has confirmed that the energetic striker who inspired FBL side Booma FC to an impressive fifth place finish has signed a three-year contract with the Royals.
“Welcome the one & only best marksman!!” Kitara announced on their Facebook page.
“Denis Omedi is a Royal through & through until 2025, Kitara confirmed, as the player was officially unveiled by club CEO Joshua Atugonza.
The 2022/23 FUFA Big league Champions want to maintain the same momentum in the top division, and head coach Brian Ssenyondo is so busy in the transfer market.
The coach wants to assemble a strong team that will not only participate but also compete in the forth coming Uganda Premier League (UPL) season.
Omedi now becomes Kitara’s ninth signing after youngster Shafik Magogo, Yassin Sabir, Solomon Okwalinga, Jude Semugabi, Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye, Crispus Kusiima, Ibrahim Magandaazi and Kipper Luwalo.
