All Set for 8th National Swimming Championships

Uganda Swimming Federation is bracing itself for arguably its grandest competition – the 2023 USF National Swimming Championships.

The eighth edition is due June 30 to July 2 at two venues – The Championships will take place at Greenhill Academy for the first two days of 30 June and 01 July 2023, and at Kampala Parents School (Naguru) on Day 3, that is 02 June 2023.

More than 30 clubs and schools are expected to grace the much awaited event.

Gators club will target defense of its crown having amassed 3122.5 points to win the event last year.

This championship has over the years been flagship and this year’s event has hallmarks of a thriller especially among the top clubs like Gators, Seals, Dolphins, Makerere Sharks, Silverfin Academy, Sailfish, Jaguar and Altona among others.

The Nation’s top swimmers will spice the championship.

“This is one of the events we use to select the best in the country, we hope this championship will give athletes a chance to swim and improve their times as well,” said Moses Mwase – USF President

  3. Dolphins – 1652
  4. Aquatic – 1541.5
  5. Silverfin – 1055
  6. Seals – 1004
  7. Sailfish – 869
  8. Jaguar – 834
  9. Flash – 377.5
  10. Starlings – 327.5
