Uganda’s Jacob Kiplimo was denied a win or a tie by a photo-finish against Ethiopia’s Yomif Kejelcha.
Both Kiplimo and Kejelcha reached at the same time of 12:41.73 in the 5000m at the Diamond League in Oslo on Thursday night.
But it was Kejelcha who edged the tight call by three thousandths of a second.
His countrymate Telahun Haile Bekele came third in a time of 12:46.21.
Kiplimo and Kejelcha’s time of 12:41.73 is the fifth fastest of all time.

Only Uganda’s Joshua Cheptegei (12:35.36 World Record), Kenenisa Bekele, Haile Gebrselassie and Kenyan Daniel Komen have run faster!
And it’s also strong to note that Jacob Kiplimo’s 12:41.73 is the fastest non-winning time ever in 5000m.
