Express FC captain Allan Kayiwa scored on their final game against Blacks Power to go top of the top scorers chart and take this season’s golden boot.
Kayiwa, who has been brilliant since joining Express, scored in the 71st minute from the spot as his side lost 3-1 to Blacks Power in Lira.
Blacks Power scored through Otim Daniel, Diara Okwir and Robert Eseru as they played their last game in the top flight.
It has been a wonderful season for Kayiwa, who joined Express at the start of the campaign last year from Vipers.
And coming to the final games, Kayiwa was tied on 12 goals with Villa’s Charles Bbaale, who failed to add to his tally as they lost to URA at Wankulukuku.
Despite his side Express loosing on the day, Kayiwa stood firm to score from the spot and add to his tally.
He has scored goals in and out, notably from set pieces and has captained Express on many league games.
Before joining the Red Eagles, Kayiwa was at Vipers, where he was limited due to playing time and stiff competition at the Kitende based side.
And on his arrival at Wankulukuku, Kayiwa made his presence felt, scoring goals right away from the first round of this campaign.
His side Express have finished in the 10th position with 34 points after 28 games.
