Kawempe Muslim ended Kampala Queens league unbeaten run following their 1-0 victory in the FUFA Women Super League on Thursday morning.

Agnes Nabukenya scored the all important goal in the second half for Kawempe to ensure that they stopped the Queen’s good run.

The loss, first for Kampala Queens in the league, ended their unbeaten run this season for a side that had earlier wrapped up the league title.

For Kawempe, it was another brilliant day for them, as they continued their dorminance over Kampala Queens this season.

They had earlier thrashed the 5-1 last month, to dump them out of the FUFA Women’s Cup this season.

On Thursday, they did just enough to show superiority over the now declared champions.

After a goalless first half, Kawempe Muslim returned back a more rejuvenated side to score first.

And it paid off in the 53rd minute through Nabukenya, a goal that could later turn out winner.

After that goal, both sides failed to create better chances on the day due to the poor state of the pitch that limited the easy flow of the ball.

And at the end, Kawempe held on to pick a vital win at home.

The school girls now moved to 32 points and also picked a fifth consecutive win on the bounce.

For Kampala Queens, it was a poor outing for them, on a day they failed to live to their best. They stayed on top with 46 points with two games to end the season.
