The Uganda U20 Rugby team was on Thursday flagged off from Kyadondo by the URU president Godwin Kayangwe as they departed for the U20 Barthes tournament set to kick off in Nairobi this coming Saturday.
The President Rugby Union, in his send-off message, urged the team to give their best effort and to represent Uganda with pride and honour.

He reminded them of the significance of the tournament and the impact that their performance would have on their development as rugby players.
The team’s first test will come in their quarterfinal match against their fierce rivals, Kenya.
Because of the two nations’ rugby rivalry and longstanding history of intense competition, their meeting is bound to be of great entertainment.
Captain Calvin Gizamba is sure the team is ready to take on this challenge headon, and they are confident that they have what it takes to emerge victorious.
As the team departs for Nairobi, they carry with them the hopes and dreams of returning home victorious and we wish them all the best in their quest for victory. Go Uganda!
