Express FC picked a deserved 3-0 win over Busoga United in a league game held at the Wankulukuku stadium on Tuesday.
Goals from Denis Otim, Joseph Akandwanaho and substitute Enock Ssebagala ensured that the Red Eagles cruised Past the Jinja based side.
The win, 7th for Express this season saw them pick a third consecutive victory in a row. They now moved to 28 points in the 7th position.
For Busoga United, it was a poor outing for them in their quest to survive relegation this season.
On Tuesday, Express showed early signs of scoring first as they made various attempts on goal.
Their skipper Allan Kayiwa and Boban Zirintuusa came close as they searched for the opener.
But despite their dorminance, they had to wait until the 32nd minute to break the deadlock through Otim, and his goal was the difference at half time
After the restart, with seven minutes into the second half, Akandwanaho made it two to extend his side’s lead.
And Express, who were dorminant continued to press Busoga United, who were always at the receiving.
Later with seven minutes to play, substitute Ssebagala made it to seal a deserved win for the Red Eagles.
Victory ensured that Express picked a third consecutive win in a row.
For the Jinja based side, it was another big blow in their fight to beat relegation scares this season. They remained on 22 points in the 13th position and will need to play each of their remaining games like final if they are to avoid the danger zone.
