Following their 54-20 immense defeat to Kenya in the previous play off, the Uganda U20 rugby team will once again take on their neighboring rivals in the quarterfinal game of the U20 Barthes trophy 2023 edition.
Uganda came off sixth in the last edition of the tournament, winning one game and losing two.
Malcom Okello scooped the tournament’s top points scorer accolade with 42 individual points.
The Under 20 team has been in training camp for the past one month and will soon be travelling to Nairobi for the competition.
It is scheduled to be played on a knockout basis over three match days, running from from Saturday 22nd to 30th April, 2023 and like last year, it will be played at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.

The tournament serves as Africa’s U20 championship and features eight different nations.
Zimbabwe are the current title holders after beating Namibia in the 2022 finals.
