City Oilers Vs UCU: Bbaale, Lual Point Guns At Former Team

City Oilers duo of Fayed Bbaale and Titus Lual are set for an emotional encounter as they face off with former side UCU Canons in the National Basketball League.

The duo left UCU before the start of this season, signing for the eight-time champions, after graduating from the Mukono-based University.

And it has been a fitting start for both at Oilers, helping the side to six wins in as many games.

Lual (91) and Bbaale (89) are the leading scorers at Oilers, averaging 15 and 14 points per game in that order, with the closest being Luak Ruai on 68 points.

Lual is averaging 11 rebounds while Bbaale is averaging 4 assists per game.

And it remains to be seen if UCU Canons coach Nicholas Natuhereza will have a solution for the weapon he created.

The Oilers are 6-0, with wins coming against KIU Titans, Power, KCCA, Rezlife, JKL and UPDF Tomahawks.

The Canons on the other hand, have played two games – Started the season with a 55-64 loss against Ndejje before overcoming Nam Blazers 87-77 in overtime.

Last season, UCU beat Oilers 58-44 in the first round but the latter won the second round tie 71-54.

The two teams faced off in the playoffs, with Oilers winning the best of five series 3-1 to reach the finals.
