Innocent Media scored twice to guide Arua Hill to a 2-0 victory over Blacks Power at Barifa Ground in the Uganda Premier League.
The Kongolo registers their first win this year after losing all the two games.
They put an end to their three games winless run and a first cleansheet since December.
The first sight at goal fell to Blacks Power’s Micheal Siwu but his freekick was tipped over the bar by Goalkeeper Richard Anyama.
Rashid Toha had a freekick pushed away on the other side by Emmanuel Odongo before Rashid Kawawa’s effort went wide.
The Visitors could have taken the lead but Isaac Tumusiime’s low strike missed by a few inches.
The breakthrough came in the 29th minute when Media placed Toha’s header into the net from a Gaddafi Wahab well taken corner kick.
Media’s opener was the difference between the two sides going into the break.
The Visitors started the second stanza brightly but Eseru couldn’t convert his chances to bring the game level.
In the 58th minute, Media completed his brace to double the hosts lead after racing on a through ball from Innocent Maduka before rounding off the Goalkeeper and Defender to slot in an empty net.
Few minutes later, the Youngster could have bagged a hat-trick but his low ball was collected by the Goalkeeper.
Maduka thought he had scored the third but the goal was ruled out before Toha once again missed from freekick.
Arua Hill moves to 5th with 26 points after 17 matches while Blacks Power are 14th with 15 points in 19 matches.
