Preview: Express Seek To End 11-game Winless Run

Express will be hoping to snap their winless run in the league when they welcome Onduparaka on Friday at Wankulukuku.

The Red Eagles have no win in their last 11 league games, a spell that include six defeats and five draws.

Their last win was against Busoga United in November last year, a game that was declared in boardroom after fans trouble at Kakindu.

“It will be a tough game, they are always stubborn every time they face Express but we are going to handle them the way we did in our first game where we beat them,” said Express coach James Odoch.

“We want to put more effort because we have taken long without winning here. I want to come out with maximum points. My players are aware and I believe they will give us the results.”

Express are yet to win a league game at Wankulukuku in their last six home games!

They sit 11th with 19 points after 18 games, with just four points above the relegation puzzle.

They face an Onduparaka side, bottom on the table and are struggling to beat the drop. The Caterpillars come into this fixture after beating Gaddafi 2-1 in Arua.

Express won the reverse fixture 2-1, goals by Marvin Oshaba and Daniel Shabene in a game that was played at a neutral ground – Bombo.
