FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo has declared all the National teams’ coaching positions outside the Uganda Cranes and Under-23 vacant.
These include the positions of the head coach and their assistants of the Teams including the National Women team (Crested Cranes).
Other teams include Uganda Hippos (Boys U20), Uganda Cubs (Boys U17), Uganda Rhinos (Boys U15), Queen Cranes (Women U20) and the Teen Cranes (Women U17).
The Men’s Beach Soccer (Sand Cranes) and Futsal Team (Nile Cranes) are also included.
“Outside the Men’s Senior national team (Uganda Cranes) and the U23 Boys team, the rest of the coaching positions are declare vacant,” Magogo said on Thursday.
“We call upon competent Ugandans and non Ugandans to come and apply for these vacancies.”
The President did not divulge into details of the decision.
The Uganda Cranes assistant coach will atomically become the head coach of the Under-23 (Uganda Kobs).
The goalkeeping coach and Fitness Trainer of the Uganda Cranes will head the respective departments of all the other National teams.
Magogo said that the two said positions will be full time employees of the Federation.
The Crested Cranes coaching position, last held by George Lutalo, has been vacant since last year in July at the Women AFCON.
The decision also means that Jackson Mayanja has been relieved of his duties as the Uganda Hippos head coach, alongside his backroom staff.
