NEC FC will be seeking to close the gap at the top when they take a visit to Adjumani TC FC in a FUFA Big League game on Thursday.

The Bugolobi based side, who are seated third on the log with 40 points, are just three points below leaders Kitara.

They come into Thursday’s game having picked a comfortable 5-1 win over Soroti City in their previous home game.

Their Captain Marvin Kavuma grabbed a hat-trick on that day, Oscar Ssesaazi and forward Geoffrey Sserunkuma added the other goals.

And now, they take a long trip to Adjumani TC, against a side that is second from the bottom.

There is no room for error with a few games to go and a win on Thursday will see them go level on points with Leaders Kitara and that will push them to stage a better performance in Lira.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, the hosts Adjumani TC will be seeking to save their season starting with thursday game against NEC FC.

It has been a poor season for Adjumani TC, who are currently second from the bottom with just 21 points after 22 games.

They come into this game having suffered a 3-1 defeat against Lugazi FC away from home.

Pressure is now growing up on them with a few games to end the season.

And there must be a quick reaction starting with thursday game against NEC if they are to at least save themselves from dropping back to the regional League next season.
