Adjumani TC scored late in the game to deny NEC FC maximum points in a FUFA Big League match held at Paridi Stadium on Thursday.

Anyama Emmanuel scored in added time to ensure that his side Adjumani picked a point on the day.

NEC FC had earlier taken the lead in the 6th minute through Tonny Kiberu and were on course to pick all the three points.

It was a big blow to NEC, who were aiming to keep pressure on the top teams. They now remain third with 41 points.

Playing away from home, NEC FC earned a dream start when Kiberu put them ahead in the 6th minute, a goal that was the difference before the break.

And they had defended tirelessly to keep their lead but Anyama levelled matters late in added minutes to deny the Bugolobi-based side maximum points.

Elsewhere, Mbarara City moved top of the FUFA Big league following a 1-0 win over Ndejje University in a game held at Kakyeka stadium.

Henry Kitegenyi scored from the spot in the 55th minute to ensure that his side picked all the vital points at home.

It was a big win for Mbarara City in their quest for promotion to the Uganda Premier league next season.

They now move top with 44 points after 23 games, one point ahead of Kitara who host Police FC on Friday.
