Algeria have qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations after beating Niger 1-0 on Monday.
Baghdad Bounedja scored early in the first half in a game that was played at a neutral venue in Tunisia.
The victory sends Algeria to 12 points, eight above second-placed Tanzania – with two games to spare.
The Foxes have been outstanding in the campaign where they started the journey with a 2-0 win over Uganda Cranes.
It’s the 20th qualification ticket earned by Djamel Belmadi’s charges who won the title back in 2019.
Algeria, who also won the title in 1980, will face Uganda in June before hosting Tanzania in their last match.
They join Morocco whoo qualified recently, alongside hosts Ivory Coast for the tournament due next year.
