Dundee United striker Sadat Anaku will miss Uganda Cranes AFCON Qualification double header against Tanzania, it’s official.
FUFA has confirmed the developments, saying that the player is injured as communicated by his Scottish club Dundee United.
Anaku missed Dundee United’s league game with St Mirren at Tannadice Park.
He last featured for Dundee United in a 1-1 draw away with Livingston on March 8.
He has played in 12 league games and won a penalty for Dundee United in a 3-1 defeat against Aberdeen the previous week.
His senior national team debut will once again wait having missed the earlier clash against Algeria last year.
Then, he was not able to enter Libya due to delay in Paperwork.
Four foreign based players have joined Uganda Cranes camp in Ismailia, Egypt.
Captain Emmanuel Okwi, Farouk Miya, Steven Sserwadda and Isma Mugulusi are the latest players to join the team.
Midfielder Aucho Khalid is expected to join the camp on Wednesday.
The Cranes beat Ismaily SC on Tuesday 3-1 at Suez Canal with Fahad Bayo, Rogers Mato and Richard Basangwa on target.
