Police FC beat Ndejje University 2-0 on Monday in the last round of 16 of Stanbic Uganda Cup encounter at Kavumba Recreation ground.
Denis Kalanzi and Herman Wasswa scored two beautiful headers in the second half to send Angelo Lonyesi’s side to the Quarterfinals.
Kalanzi broke the deadlock with 10 minutes to spare after a good Joseph Sentume cross.
Wasswa, on for Danjuma Ahmed Aliyu, doubled the advantage in the 85th minute with a powerful header off a lofty delivery from Adam Mutesasira.
It was a perfect result for Police who few days earlier drew with the same opponent in the Big League encounter in Luweero.
Police who are second in Big League, will now fancy their chances to win the Uganda Cup having reached this far.
They earlier beat Aputuun (Soroti) and Pajule Lions (Pader) in the Round of 64 and 32 respectively.
Teams that have reached this Quarterfinals stage are guaranteed of Sh6m each, and progressing to the semis will earn them Sh12.5m.
