FUFA Big League sides Calvary FC and Kitara FC will face off in the Uganda Cup Round of 16 at Midigo Ground in Yumbe.

Calvary FC will seek to make home advantage count as they target a place in the last eight.

However they will need to be on top of their game in order to eject the FUFA Big League leaders.

Dudu Bosco’s charges will be bank on Kitara’s poor run on the road as they seek to revenge their 2-0 defeat in the league by the Royals.

Calvary FC knocked out JLOS in the round of 32 after a 1-0 home win at Midigo Ground.

Sam Simbwa’s sides will be confident heading into this match thanks to their turn of results in the league that have seen them move top the log.

Kitara will hope to compete in all Competitions and they won’t take this tie for granted despite UPL promotion being their main target.

They face a real test this time round after eliminating two Regional League sides in Free Stars and Uganda Pentecostal University in the round of 64 and 32 respectively.

Heading into this round, Kitara were 2-1 winners over Uganda Pentecostal University in the last 16.

Kitara FC captain Owachgiu Maxwell while speaking to the club media highlighted that their aim is to progress to the next round.

“We are here for a mission, we are focused on this game and every player is ready to fight and to see that we make it to the next stage.”
