Preview: Struggling Express seek to End winless streak

Express FC will be seeking to end their winless streak when they take a visit to Gaddafi at the Kakindu stadium on Sunday.

The Red Eagles are yet to win any game ever since the start of the second of the season.

They kicked off with a 1- all draw against UPDF FC, lost 1-0 to URA and were beaten by rival side SC Villa 2-1 in their recent league game at Wankulukuku.

That poor run saw them drop to the 11 th position with 17 points collected from 18 games.

The clock is now ticking and there must be a reaction in Sunday’s game as they seek to save their season.

Speaking ahead of the game, head coach James odoch said

“Gadaffi FC is a good side and I know they will create a challenge for the boys but we’ve worked on the mistakes. I know we will carry the bragging rights home, he told the club’s media on Saturday.

But despite the poor run in the league, Express have managed to grind results in the Uganda Cup, and have already stormed the quarter finals, after thrashing Paidha Black Angels last week.

And they will be seeking to carry on that energy as they seek to return to winning ways in the league.

On the other hand, the hosts, Gaddafi will be seeking to bounce back to winning ways when they welcome Express at home.

The Wasswa Bbosa coached side suffered a 2-1 loss to Onduparaka away from home in their recent game.

Back at home, there will be no room for error when they take on the Red Eagles.

And Bbosa revealed that they have enough time to prepare for this game.

“We have prepared very well, our players are in a good mood to get the needed result so that we can move up on the table,” Bbosa said ahead of the game.

In Express, they welcome a struggling side and they will be seeking to add on their woes.

Gaddafi’s last home game at Kakindu was a 1-all draw against SC Villa and they can’t afford to slip for another game.

And Bbosa, this being his former side will task his men to stage a better performance as they target moving up on the table.
