Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) has rescinded the earlier decision to relegate A1 Challenge and Nkumba Lady Marines.
The two sides dropped down to Lower Division after finishing bottom of the 10-team Women NBL last season.
Nkumba finished rock bottom (10th) with just a win (against Nabisunsa) in 18 games.
A1 Challenge, 2005 Champions, came second from the bottom (9th) with a 3-15 record.
Their places in top flight were automatically taken up by the two promoted Division One sides – Champions JT Lady Jaguars and Runners-up Kampala University.
But FUBA has now moved to have 12 teams in the Women Division, to accommodate the previously relegated A1 and Nkumba.

“The two teams maintain their slots,” reads a quick response from FUBA Vice President Hudson Ssegamwenge when contacted by The-SportsNation.
Sources say that FUBA communicated the decision to the two clubs last month, asking the clubs to confirm their position in five days time then.
