Coach Mavita Ali has confirmed leaving KCCA Leopards ahead of the new season of the National Basketball League.
Mavita has told The-SportsNation that she will be focusing on her Score Beyond Project.
Mavita replaced Rogers Sserunyigo as head coach back in 2019 after the latter moved to UMU Ravens.
“I am swamped with my work at Score Beyond,” Mavita told The-SportsNation.
“My projects are based in the North and East this year. I will not be able to commit a lot of time in Kampala.
“So I will focus on running a development league for Basketball in Schools in Adjumani for my coaching work.”

Mavita who was part of the coaching team for the Gazelles at the recently concluded Zone V Championship, is also the head coach of the Junior Gazelles.
“I will remain available for National team engagements, but I will not rejoin KCCA,” she reaffirmed.
Mavita’s assistant coach at KCCA last season, Jeff Omondi, joined newly promoted JT Lady Jaguars.
Mavita has been the only Female head coach in National Basketball League!
The former Javon and A1 Challenge coach, guided KCCA Leopards to third place finish last season.
