Sam Ssimbwa will be hoping to collect his first win in the league when his side welcome Lugazi FC at Kigaaya.

This, will be Sam Ssimbwa’s fourth league match since he was named as the head coach.

All the games have ended in draws – Including a derby against Booma.

His only victory against Uganda Pentecostal University (UPU) FC in the Uganda Cup.

They come into this fixture after sharing spoils against Jinja North United.

“We have been training well and have received a better response from the team since we returned from Jinja and we so up to the task,” Ssimbwais quoted by the Club.

The Club, under Mark Twinamatsiko, ended the first round atop the league.

But after a quick turnaround that saw Twinamatsiko sacked and prized striker Patrick Kaddu sold off, the Club is currently third with 34 points.

Kitara’s last win in the league was a 2-1 victory over Adjumani TC in January.

They will bank on the fact that they beat Lugazi FC 3-0 last year in November during the first round.

Ssimbwa will be without Dudu Ramathan and Davis Ssali who are nursing injuries, Abasi Kateregga is on a yellow-card suspension while Edson Agondeze is back after missing the trip to Jinja.

Lugazi still harbours dreams of top flight football, but the side is 12 points off the promotional places.
