The 12th UCU Invitational Basketball Tournament has been postponed.
The tournament that was initially scheduled February 25-26 2023, will take place at a later date.
With an official communication in the media still pending, The-SportsNation has learnt that the tournament will be held March 4-5.
The tournament is organised by Uganda Christian University (UCU) at the Courts in Mukono.
The teams have for the past seasons used this tournament to prepare for the National Basketball League (and Lower division leagues).
And the Basketball hungry fans have always stormed Mukono to have a look at the new signings for their teams.
The recently concluded FIBA Women Afrobasket Qualifiers (Zone Five) at Lugogo set the tone for the new season, and the NBL will be getting underway on March 10.
City Oilers beat UCU Canons 66-60 to win the 11th edition last year while UCU Ladies beat KIU Rangers in the Women’s final.
Nam Blazers and Angels settled for Bronze while Luak Ruai (Oilers) and Rose Akon (UCU) were the MVPs.
