*Preview: BUL Eye Double Over UPDF
BUL will hope to complete a league double over UPDF for the first time since 2017/2018 campaign when they visit the side at Bombo Barracks Ground.
The Eastern Giants started the second round with a draw after they were held to a one-all draw by Blacks Power at FUFA Technical Centre Njeru.
Against UPDF, they will hope to collect their first win of the second round in order to keep pace with leaders KCCA.
However, BUL will be wary of their poor form at UPDF having won just once in the their five visits at Bombo Barracks Ground.
BUL’s last win against UPDF in Bombo was in 2018, a 3-0 victory.
Speaking to the club media ahead of the game, BUL FC Head Coach Alex Isabirye is aware of UPDF’s position on the log but anticipates a difficult encounter.
“I know they are going to put up a very good fight,” Isabirye noted
“But we are also looking to see that we get those three points, I know the game won’t be easy but we are ready and I think we shall win it.”
For UPDF, they will hope to pick only their third home victory this season.
The Army side will bank on their home record against BUL having won three and lost twice twice.
In the reverse fixture, Karim Ndugwa, Richard Wandyaka and Frank Kalanda inspired BUL to a 3-1 home victory.
Then, Ibrahim Magandaazi scored UPDF’s goal from the spot.
