Emmanuel Mugume scored the all important goal to sink leaders NEC in the early kick-off of the FUFA Big League.
After a 2-0 defeat in the first round, Police FC was able to revenge and hand NEC their fourth defeat of the season.
The match started with intense pressure from both sides and the first sight at goal came in under a minute by the visitors.

Mugume could have given the hosts an early lead but his shot was easy for Goalkeeper Michael Okiria.
The deadlock was finally broken in the 36th minute after good play that involved Benaldo Kateregga and Ronald Sempala before finding Mugume who tapped home from close range to give Police the lead.
The goal-scorer could have bagged a hat-trick but he wasn’t clinical enough after missing two clear cut chances.
NEC didn’t create enough chances but Ssesaazi Sulaiman and captain Kavuma Marvin came close to equalise for the visitors.

The win puts Police FC second on the log for now level on 33 points with leaders NEC after 17 matches.
