Wakiso Giants and Kitara are the first teams to reach the round of 16 of the ongoing Stanbic Uganda Cup.
The Purple Sharks needed shootouts to overcome Blacks Power in an all UPL-tie at the Akii-bua stadium in Lira.
Paul Willa missed for Wakiso Giants but Norman Ojik, Rahmat Ssenfuka, Tom Masiko, Alex Komakech, George Kaddu and Hassan Ssenyonjo made amends.
In the other game, Kitara eliminated giant Slayers UPU who earlier knocked out URA FC.
Dudu Ramathan scored a brace, including a 92nd minute winner for Coach Sam Ssimbwa’s first victory at the club.
UPU had levelled matters through Abdul Bwambale in the 83rd minute at Kigaaya playgrounds.
