Uganda Premier League side Bright Stars will seek to get past Eastern Regional League side Mbale Heroes in the Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 32.
The two will face off at the Mbale City stadium as they hope to book a place in the Round of 16.
Asaph Mwebaze’s side eliminated North Eastern Regional League side Nakapelimen with a humiliating 8-0 emphatic victory at Naetewea Primary School Playground in Moroto.
Loki Emmanuel scored a hat-trick on the day while Sam Senyonjo and Ibrahim Kasinde had a brace each and Omony Denis Kaka scored the other goal.
Despite being in the third Division, Bright Stars will anticipate a tough game considering the experience of the hosts.
Coached by former Busoga United coach Abbey Kikomeko, the club boasts several experienced players like Goalkeeper Didi Muhammed, defenders Umar Mukobe, Musa Malunda, Junior Mukisa, James Otim and Amos Etoju all previously at BUL.
Others are Patrick Gonahasa, Shaka Ssozi and Nazir Sserwada among others.
Bright Stars will face a tougher opponent this time despite being two leagues above them and will have to dig deep to eliminate the minnows.
Bright Stars was eliminated by the defending champions BUL FC in the Round of 16 last season.
For Mbale Heroes they will bank on the experienced players and home advantage to progress to the next round.
The Eastern Regional League Bukedi group leaders eliminated West Nile Regional League Nile group side Araka FC 2-0 in the Round of 64 at Mbale city stadium.
Mukisa Junior and Akram Muzanyi were on target for Abbey Kikomeko side.
Last season, Henry Kitegenyi lone strike eliminated Mbale Heroes in the quarter finals at Kakyeka Playground.
It promises to be a close encounter considering the quality of players who will turn up for both sides and the tie will be decided by the team that will make use of their chances.
The tactical discipline of both Kikomeko and Mwebaza will decide the fate.
