Express 1-1 UPDF
Onduparaka 0-2 URA
Gadaffi 1-1 SC Villa
Joseph Ssemujju marked his return to the SUPL with a double off the bench against Onduparaka at the Ababet Greenlight Stadium.
Ssemujju who left BUL FC last season for Mbeya City joined URA in the just concluded January transfer window.
With the game still goalless, the forward needed just three minutes to break the deadlock for the visitors in the 56th minute after replacing Ssekajugo Vianne.
With five minutes to normal time, Ssemujju completed his brace in the 85th minute to kill off the hosts hope of an equaliser.
The win is a sigh of relief for Sam Timbe side who had gone seven games without a league victory.
The tax collectors last win was a 1-0 home win over Arua Hill in November last year and only their second in eleven matches.
The defeat piles more pressure on Onduparaka who have won just one match this campaign.
It’s not the second round Steven Bogere hoped for in his quest to beat relegation.
Neither Bida Ezra nor Odur Tonny who both made their league debuts for the caterpillars could guide the hosts from picking their first win over URA since 2017.
The caterpillars have only beaten URA in the league.
Onduparaka are bottom of the log in the 15th with 7 points after 15 matches while URA are 11th with 17 points.
They will both return to action on Saturday 25th as Onduparaka travel away to SC Villa at Akibua Memorial stadium while URA host Express at Nakisunga Saza Ground.
