Marinetime Cargo, leader in the field of multi-modal transport in the East African region, have given Kickboxer Moses Golola timely support to his Talent Academy.
The company handed over 20 mattresses to the Academy located in Kawempe, Kampala.
Golola explained that he earlier secured beds but had failed to acquire Mattresses as he plans to house a couple of fighters.
“We are very happy for this offer from Marinetime Cargo. This comes timely as I plan to bring fighters from up-country to train them,” said Golola.
“Any fighter who wants to train here, at least he/she will have somewhere to rest from. I had already secured the beds from my previous fight with a Sudanese, but six months had elapsed before getting mattresses.”
The fighter added: “I had pleaded to Museveni for support to my academy because Sports employs Youth, but nothing has come through yet. So I thank Marine for this soft giving heart.”
The iconic fighter confirmed that he has organised Golola Talent championships on Easter for Boys and Girls.
He added that he plans to start physical education sessions at his academy.
“We want to upgrade fighters in different styles including Boxing, Kickboxing, Karate etc. We want to have strong representation at Olympics,” Golola added.
“Sports is lacking sponsors, and Government is still reducing on the sports budget which continues to worry me. This is a good start and it will take us a thousand miles.
“Fighters will start to stay here. This is a charity foundation, we don’t have money. Those we expect to be champions are the broke ones.”
He pleaded for more support from the public, including food, to make his dream come to reality.
Chief Operating Officer John Nsamba, said: “We are joining our brother Golola in support of his budding foundation with a donation of 20 mattresses in total. Like his call, he has always had events and has not had mattresses to accompany the beds to be able to accommodate the fighters.”
“We came to facilitate him, this is just the start and we hope to do more in the future. We hope to see talent grow in the country and see them fly the flag high.”
Golola is set to fight Kassim Ouma in a Boxing match in May 2023.
