Mbale Heroes boost Squad with four new Signings

Eastern region side Mbale Heroes have continued to beef up their team with four new January signings.

Among the new faces at Mbale Heroes is former BUL defender Emmanuel Junior Mukisa.

Mukisa brings in a lot of experience having featured for a couple of clubs including Bul FC, Sadolin and Kenya’s Sofapaka.

The other new signings include Emmanuel Shikanga – a left back who has been at Score SC in Mbale Fourth Division while Midfielder Marco Bassey also joins from Mbale Garage FC.

Lanky forward Patrick Gonahasa is the other player that crossed to Mbale Heroes.

Gonahasa also brings in a lot of experience to the Abbey Bogere coached side having played for Gaddafi, UPDF, Nyamityobora FC, Maroons FC.

The club, in the just concluded transfer market also let go of a couple of players including Paul Ssekulima who joined UPL side Bul FC.

Currently, Mbale Heroes, the two time Uganda Cup champions are on top of the Bukedi group in the Eastern region with 25 points after eleven games so far.

The team, Coached by former Busoga United coach Abbey Bogere Kikomeko are seeking for a return to the FUFA Big League next season.

Last season, they nearly qualified to the Fufa Big League only to be beaten by Jinja North United in the FUFA Big league play offs held in Iganga.

And these additions, together with an experienced coach in Bogere will be a big boost in their quest for Big League football next season.
