Vipers Goalkeeper Loaned To Mbarara City

Vipers SC goalkeeper Mugolofa Mutwalibi has joined Fufa Big League side Mbarara City on loan.

Mutwalibi joins the Ankole Lions from another Big League side Kyetume where he has been on loan as well ever since joining them last year in August.

His official unveiling was made official via Mbarara City official social media handles.

“𝐌𝐮𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐟𝐚 𝐌𝐮𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐢 joins the Ankole Lions on Loan from Vipers until the end of the season, reads a statement from Mbarara.

In his development as a player, Mutwalibi was at St. Mary’s Kitende, a feeder side to Vipers, the senior team.

And due to his achievements at the school, he was then promoted to the senior team, before being loaned to Kyetume last year for more game time.

Back then, Mutwalibi won the FUFA Juniors league with SC Vipers Junior team in 2017 when they defeated Onduparaka Junior team in the final played at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo.

He also won the 2019 Copa Coca-Cola Schools championship when they recovered from a goal down to beat Jinja SS 3-1 at Kakindu Stadium in an ill-mannered game marred by violence.

At Mbarara City, he will be fighting for a starting with Wycliff Manja, who has been with the side since the start of the season.

After the end of the first round, Mbarara City finished second with 30 points and Mutwalibi’s addition will boost the side as they seek to return to the Uganda premier League next season.
