Bernard Muwanga Among New Signings at UPDF FC

Bernard Muwanga is back at UPDF

Uganda premier League side UPDF FC have confirmed their new recruits in the just concluded January transfer window.

It has been confirmed that all these new signings have been training with the club for the past weeks at Bombo.

Among the new signings at the Bombo based club is experienced defender Bernard Muwanga who returns to the club for the second stint.

Muwanga had previously featured for UPDF way back in the 2020/21 season.

And he returns to action after a long period of time without a club and the return to UPDF presents him more game time.

He brings in a lot of experience in defense to the Brian Ssenyondo coached side having featured for a couple of clubs here in Uganda including KCCA FC, Bright Stars, SC Villa, Kyetume, Proline among others.

Pacy winger Muwadda Mawejje also joins UPDF on a one year deal, after ending his short spell at Rwandan side Rwamangan City, a side he joined last year in October.

The other new signings include goalkeeper Martin Senkooto on loan from Arua Hill, Kigundu Moses and Munir Saidi (loan from Onduparaka).

Forward Kimuli Gerald also joins on a one year deal from Fufa Big League side Booma FC and he will be expected to boost their attacking force.

After the end of first round, UPDF finished third from the bottom with only 10 points after 14 games.

And the addition of an experienced defender in Muwanga, together with his new colleagues will surely boost Ssenyondo’s side to perform better in the second round.
