Madondo Back at Gaddafi, Club Confirm January signings

Uganda premier League side Gaddafi FC confirmed the return of forward Joel Oscar Madondo.

Madondo joins the Jinja based side on a one year deal and his official unveiling was made official on Wednesday, alongside three other players.

It will be the second stint for Madondo at Gaddafi, having previously featured for the side way back in their promotion days back in 2021.

He had left the side in December 2021 for Tanzanian second tier side Diamond Trust Bank FC.

But his time at DTB has been limited to a number of factors and thus returning back home.

On his return, Madondo will be hoping to revive his career and most importantly Infront of his home people in Jinja.

Previously, Madondo has featured for Busoga United, and Wydad Casablanca.

The other three players who were unveiled on wednesday include defender Hassan Wasswa Dazo and youngster Yusuf Bogere who was promoted to the senior team.

Dazo brings in a lot of experience to the Wasswa Bbosa coached side having featured for Wakiso Giants, KCCA FC among other clubs.

Joel Baliwano, a left back is the other player who joined the Soldier Boys from Onduparaka FC.

In the just concluded transfer market, Gaddafi also lost a couple of players including Shafik Bakaki who crossed to Rwanda for greener pastures, Godfrey Lwesibawa (Kitara) among others.

And the acquisition of Madondo and an experienced defender in Hassan Wasswa will surely boost the Jinja based side as they gear up for the second round of the season that gets underway this February.
