*Algeria 5-0 Niger
*Senegal 1-0 Madagascar
Algeria and Senegal will compete in this year’s CHAN final after progressing past their respective semifinals ties.
Algeria sailed through with a commanding 5-0 win against Niger who proved to be the second best on the night.
Ayem Mahious scored a brace to take his tally to five goals this season and strengthen his grip to the golden boot.
Ayoub Abdellaoui, Boureima Katakore (own goal) and Sofiane Bayazid were on target for the Desert Warriors in Oran.
Algeria have reached this stage without conceding a goal, having knocked out Ivory Coast 1-0 in the Quarterfinals.
They had won all their three group stage games 1-0 against Libya, Ethiopia and Mozambique.
In the other game, an early goal from Papa Diallo who headed past goalkeeper Razakanirina Rakotohasimbola, was enough for Senegal to reach their first ever final.
The final is a repeat of 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final where Algeria edged the Lions of Teranga.
