Guard Maureen Amoding has boosted the Gazelles camp as the team continues preparations for the FIBA Zone Five Afrobasket Qualifiers.
Amonding trained with the group for the first time on Tuesday at Lugogo Indoor Stadium.
The JT Lady Jaguars star had been away in Lusaka, Zambia with work related issues.
She averaged 11 points and 3 assists with Lady Jaguars after joining the side midway last season in a campaign they earned promotion to National Basketball League.
Amoding brings a wealth of experience to the team having been part of the Gazelles squad that last competed at the 2015 Afrobasket in Yaounde, Cameroon.
She has played for top basketball clubs in country that is UCU Lady Canons and KCCA Leopards.
Only team captain Flavia ‘Flirsh’ Oketcho, who is reportedly in the United Kingdom, is yet to report to camp.
Uganda will be hosting the Zone Five Championships (Qualifiers for Women Afrobasket) in February 14-19 at Lugogo.
The Gazelles will be seeking to make their third appearance at Women Afrobasket after 2015 and 1997.
