FUFA Big League side Kyetume FC have got a new chairman in Yusuf Awuye, The-SportsNation can confirm.
Awuye is a retired FIFA Referee and is currently working as a FUFA referee instructor and Match Cordinator during UPL games.
Awuye who was in 2018 appointed as CAF Match Commissioner, has worked with FUFA as Vice Chairperson Electoral Committee in 2017 and was the Chairperson FUFA Appeals Electoral Committee in 2021.
He has been appointed to his new role by Kyetume’s Majority shareholder Ruben Mubiru Kaggwa who has been acting as the chairperson.
Awuye is a renown Kyetume fan given that he stays in the Mukono locality and his appointment is set to please the distraught fans.
He is expected to select his management committee that will steer the club forward.

The appointment looks like a good move for Kyetume to stabilise their administrative shortcomings for a side that was relegated back to Big League after failing to meet Licensing Requirements.
The Slaughters finished the first round of the FUFA Big League season in 10th position with 18 points in 15 games.
